Yippee Skippee

WARNING: CONTAINS EXTREME WHINING AND SARCASM; CONTENTS MAY BE DISTURBING TO SOME

Im so excited I can hardly contain myself. If you are not in the mood for whining, then you should probably not read any further.

In about 1 hour I get to sit for 3 hours in annual training at work. Same stuff every year, same exciting, informative instruction that is sure to make my life and all around me better. Im so happy my work provides this service, because I dont have any real work to do in my office (or blogs to read). Nope, nothing else to do today, so Im thankful for this opportunity.

The really cool part about it is that Im sure I will sit next to someone who needs to shower because most of them have been up all night working and now have to sit through this stuff. Oh and about 20 minutes into it I feel like Im in a Peanuts cartoon because the instructor starts sounding like Mrs. whatever her name is, the teacher from the Peanuts that sounds like this:

WAH wah wah wah wah wah. Wha wha wha? wha wha!

Argh!

I would rather poke myself in the eye with a pencil than go to staff meetings or mandatory trainings. I always bring a doodle pad and pretend to write notes. Instead I make a grocery list and dinner list, then a To Do list, then I doodle. Hope you make it through without dying of boredom!

Thanks for the laugh Torina. I made it, it even got out a little early. Yes, I had a note pad and I made all kinds of lists and doodles. I noticed I wrote the word "boring" about fifty times in a row too.

You crack me up! (no blogs to read) I am glad you made it through... I also HATE training classes, I always fall asleep. That wah wah wah wah wah wah sounds to me like ocean waves crashing against the beach! :0)

staff meetings...bleck!
I am much like Torina, and make my grocery list...or draw hearts!

Also, you have gotta tell me how to participate in the "tagging"...

that when you need one of those cool phones that you can tune everything else out.

THAT, my dear, is when you need an iPhone. You could surf the net and read blogs without even being noticed. I completely feel your pain - I go through the same thing with the back to school inservices every year. "Remember, when you need a pack of index cards, just take one pack instead of taking the bundled 5 pack." SERIOUSLY??? We are adults!!!!
