30 Day Blogging Challenge...Day 1

FAVORITE SONG:

Ok..does anyone really have a favorite song of all time? Is that even possible? I mean, I find a song that I love, and I listen to it a lot...and then for a while its not my favorite anymore because Ive  heard it so much I dont want to hear it for a while right? I want to hear something else? Is it just me?

So, my favorite song changes continuously. I love music, and sure I have favorites...plural. But way too many to list. Sooo....I'll talk about what Im listening to currently.

As far as newer stuff goes...I have been checking out Belle and Sebastian...I think I like them. Not all that new, I know..but new for me. But not yet a favorite...

I have been listening to a lot of Bruce Springsteen lately. It brings back a lot of good memories for me, which is what a lot of my favorite music does, and is why I like it. My current favorite Springsteen songs.....that would have to be Thunder Road, The River, Born to Run, and Badlands. Yeah, the good old Bruce. Point Blank is good too.

Back in the 80's when he came out with Born in the USA and was touring, my friend M and I were listening to him a lot. Mostly the old stuff, but the new stuff too. Her brother was a big fan, and I  had a  HUGE crush on him....so I HAD to listen to it, right? Her brother was quite a bit older and probably just saw me as the stupid little girl I was, but whatever. It was fun anyway. I remember going downtown on the day that they were selling Springsteen tickets. She and I had this favorite new and used record store we used to go into all the time. We could get four records for a dollar. They knew us by name there, and that is where I spent all my allowance; on tons of records.  They sold shirts and stuff there too, and one day we bought Springsteen shirts and on the day the tickets went on sale, we wore our "Boss" shirts. Of course, the best part about it (for me) was that her brother was there in line, waiting to by tickets. So, of course we had to bother him a little.

I havent listened to Springsteen in a while, and now Im re discovering it, and enjoying the memories.

So what are you all listening to? Old and new?

Very cool! I like this challenge.

Yeah, I like a lot of the old stuff too... but, like you said, there are waaaaaaay too many to name.

Lately, I've been listening to quite a few soundtracks because of the diversity. I can let one soundtrack stay in my cd player for days upon days upon days. I think, right now, it's Garden State. Or PS I love you. Both of those are good.

Lately I've been rocking out to the Steve Miller band and Tom Petty. Stuff like that never gets old to me.

One all time favorite--- but I can't think of the title. Fried brain. The song in Ghost at the end.

Sadly, I am not listening to anything lately. I should dig back into the 1980s as well and rediscover some treasures.
