Today's Too True Tuesday deal with procrastination (for more TTT go here). I am a procrastinator at most everything, so it is hard for me to pick one thing to talk about. I suppose I am the worse procrastinator about taking care of "business" of any sort. Like any sort of email that I have to answer that isnt related to anything "fun". Oh heck, email period...Im just a procrastinator when it comes to checking it, and Im not sure why. I think its because I get a lot of "businessy" email and bad news. Like emails from my college telling me rates are going up, or sending me a summary of my account for school, or news that my virus protection is almost up, or that my dogs are due for shots. Whatever. Email often brings new of something that I HAVE to do, so I procrastinate on checking it. This has caused me to get more phone calls...calls that say...you were sent email, but you need to ____ (insert boring business, non fun related chore here). Usually the news on what I have to do, or renew, costs money, and its never any fun to get rid of money in non fun related ways. I just dont like to be bored, I guess, and that kind of thing bores me...so Id rather not now. Know what I mean? No? Its just me?...Oh.
I even tried setting up a "fun only" email account, but somehow the other crap found its way into it. So now I have TWO email accounts that I rarely check. So, I have that going for me.

I have TONS of e-mail accounts that I don't even remember! They never get checked. I don't even remember what or where they are! LOL
I can definitely relate to procrastination. I'm bad about even deleting emails, much less replying to them.
I had an email that I forgot to check for so long that it was shut down. I'm bad about deleting emails, too...as though that's some big effort.
Ha, I am obsessed with checking my e-mail..but only my fun one. I don't get anything else in there. My business one currently has 710 new e-mails. *cough*
Sitting: Grrr, that happened to me, too. I was really angry about it, actually, because I had hundreds of old emails on that account that I would have liked to have saved.
I get so many phishing emails from "banks" that I overlooked a real email I got from my bank advising me of an error I needed to check. Luckily I opened the hard copy that came USPS.
Oh I am that way about snail mail. My mom gets SO mad because she will send me stuff and a week later I still don't know if it arrived cuz I haven't gone out. Sometimes our box gets so full the carrier brings it in a huge pile to the door. Other times they refuse to keep delivering if I don't clear the box. LOL! I know there was a Seinfeld ep on that!
Ha, I can relate.
I have a few email accounts that I use for different reasons: a work one, a professional one, an online shopping one, and a blogger one. The blogger one is the only fun account that I look forward to reading.
Oh, I know what you mean. I do. It's why I spend more time checking facebook than email. :)
The person who says they don't delete emails - I like them. My inbox has 676 read emails in it right now. Because I don't want to take the time and go through to delete.
So, yeah.
Oh I hear ya. My solution. Blackberry. I quickly look at it while watching the kids, making dinner, whatever. Then I just open the fun ones & totally forget that I saw the rest. Although you still won't get the "business" stuff done.
